Book Menu is in private beta, but the privacy standard is simple: collect what we need to improve your recommendations, keep it private, and avoid using it for unrelated purposes.
What we collect
Your survey answers, email address, reading history, recommendation feedback and any notes you choose to share about why a book worked or did not work for you.
What it is used for
To build and update your Reading Profile, choose recommendations, understand whether those recommendations worked, and improve the Book Menu beta experience.
Your written notes stay private
Free-text reading notes are not used for publisher analytics, advertising or model training. They are there to help us understand your reading experience.
Optional demographics stay separate
Optional demographic answers are not used to decide which books you receive. Recommendation decisions are based on your reading evidence and what you want right now.
You can ask us to remove your beta data
If you are signed in, use the Give feedback button and ask us to remove your account and associated reader data. If you cannot access your account, contact the person who shared the private beta with you. We will formalise self-service account deletion before a wider public release.
